I think the 2 Dman you guys took in this draft will pay off big time for this team. I think you are still in a pseudo rebuild and could use another offensive piece or 2 but I wish the Sabers the best. The playoffs are more fun when they are in it.

Hopefully we could snatch up Sam Reinhart/William Nylander next draft

That's the dream
I just hope we don't hang onto Vanek & Miller,
Then we'll prob pick somewhere between 14-18...
Yuck

I like the idea of Ellis being Captain in Rochester
Obviously means the Sabres are planning on Porter being up full-time... Hopefully as the 4th line center...
If I see Grigorenko on the 4th line again I might freak out

Either way you'll be picking in the top 10 barring a serious overachievement (imo), i wouldn't be too worried.

Yeah you guys got some serious height and skill coming through the pipeline on D. Myers, Ristolainen, Pysyk and Zadorov are gonna be an awesome bunch.

This team will be a train wreck for a couple years but all good teams and cup winners suck for a while......or if your the leafs a long while...

They drafted 2 defensemen that should see some seasoning in the AHL before coming up. That means we're free to tank this year and secure higher draft picks. Maybe get someone's first for Miller or Vanek and get two in next year's draft.

That leaves us free to draft two first round offensive picks. Offense is usually easier to dump right into the NHL from the draft than D, and if we get the right guys, we could put in two top line offensive players and two top-four defensemen in the season after next.

If this is what they're planning, I'm alright with tanking this year. I really am.
